Of Arden Cottage, youngest daughter of Joseph Hill married James Edward Oram Hewett, of Taunton.  The Rev H Webber officiated who was given away by her father, ….. of grey Venetian cloth with vest of …. Beaver hat with single ostrich plume and buckle.  The bridesmaid, Miss Bagnall of Handsworth wore a gown of royal blue cloth with a vest of cream chiffon and a picture hat.  She also wore a small brooch, present from the bridegroom.  Mr. Hewett, of Tutnell park, London brother of the groom was best man.  The present were generous and handsome, the gifts of upwards from family and friends.  In the afternoon the bride and bridegroom left for London.  It is of importance to mention that the family connected with the old village, extending back for nearly 200 years.  Thomas Hill recorded among other family papers that on 4th August 1726, he returned to Perry after many years of absence……………….
